Progressive Metallizing & Machine: History

Progressive Metallizing and Machine was established in January of 1972 and is located in Akron, OH. It was the dream of a maintenance machinist working at General Tire and Rubber Co. to build a maintenance job-shop to service the thriving rubber industry at the time. Although many rubber companies have moved from Akron, Progressive Metallizing and Machine still thrives and carries on the tradition of high standards in quality, value and service and is the main source for many company's equipment repair and rebuild needs.

We have been in business for over 30 years. Our customer base has grown to include both large and small companies in the rubber, plastics, automobile, laminating, and braking industries. Some of these include Goodyear, General Motors, Continental General Tire, Little Tykes, and Westinghouse Braking.

Due to our competitive prices and quality workmanship we are able to provide services to companies from Connecticut to California.
