420 Stainless: A high chrome stainless steel having good corrosion resistance and excellent
wearing qualities.
Examples of use:
Hydraulic Rams, Mis-Machined Parts,
Journal Surfaces, Armature Shafts, Spun Bearings
(Rockwell Hardness C-33)
305 Stainless: A low carbon stainless steel, having high corrosion resistance and good
wearing qualities.
Examples of use:
Same as for 420 Stainless
(Rockwell Hardness C-22)
660 Bronze: An aluminum bronze that is very wear resistant and has two times the
strength and hardness of other bronzes.
Examples of use:
Gland Rings, Pot Linings
(Rockwell Hardness B-82)
Aluminum: An excellent corrosion resistant aluminum alloy for machine element work. Used for building
up worn aluminum parts.
Examples of use:
Headers, Aluminum Castings
(Rockwell Hardness H-80)
